Jack Quaid is having a good moment right now. Few things I didn’t know about him: apparently got his break in the Hunger Games, also his parents are Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan. This explains his where did this guy from-ness. In his own right Jack Quaid is great actor he crushed it in the boys.

Where am he going with this, The Boys was already reviewed. Well, this week we like Jack Quaid in something else, Plus One. To live life on the each means playing whatever is on the top of the queue and let the bouquet fall where it may. The wife wanted to watch some light hearted and this rom-com was smacking us in the face- so we clicked.

This movie is so funny! The plot is so in your face it’s like a toddler wrote in crayon on the way, but that doesn’t matter. What could be as something as horrible as the The Valentines Day movie was more like 500 Days of Summer, but happier and Always be my maybe. Jack Quaid and his costar Maya Erskine have fantastic chemistry. She reminded of the emo version of Ali Wong, but I found Maya funnier. Jack and Maya have this fantastic repertoire of back and forth slights that just had us on the floor.

Ed Begley comes out of nowhere as Jack’s father and hilarious and heartfelt, especially the scene when he picks him up from his bachelor party.

I was expecting an eye roller, but instead I got a side splitter. Grab a date, some popcorn and watch this movie.
