WRT Season 1: Not Forgotten // #5 Arthur Karell

Art served as a Platoon Commander (Fox Co., 3rd Plt.) during 2/7’s deployment to Now Zad, Helmand Province, Afghanistan in 2008.   After receiving degrees from Harvard and UVA, Art felt compelled to serve his country by joining the United States Marine Corps.   In this interview, he tells us about the honor of serving with other courageous warriors, shares some stories of heroism, and highlights the critical -- though largely unrecognized -- importance of exercising restraint in combat.
