Have you had or do you have obstacles to overcome?

How and the heck can you get past this thing that seems like it has changed the direction of your life?

It seems like a futile situation because it’s out of your control.

Well guess what; the only thing we can control is our own alignment.

Controlling your own alignment starts as soon as you wake up. You have to be intentional about the type of day you want to have, and focus yourself into feeling good so that energy and momentum can carry you throughout the day.

On today’s episode of Waking Up Right with Ivory, I talk with an amazing man who was raised in an environment where he had to overcome major obstacles in order to make it out alive or not in jail.

Malik Whitfield is an American actor best known for his performance as Otis Williams in the television miniseries, the Temptations, for which he was nominated for a NAACP Image award for Outstanding Actor in a Television Movie or Mini-series. Malik is from the rough streets of New York and utilized his acting chops to keep him off of the streets. So get ready to be inspired, and get inside the mind and heart of a successful, beautiful, brilliant man.

Some Questions I ask:

What are some tools that you use to grow Mentally, Physically, and Spiritually?

What or who was it that inspired you to turn your life around?

What is your ultimate failure? What did you learn from it?

What are some of your daily routines when you first wake up?

If we are sitting here in the same seat a year from now celebrating what a great year it’s been for you. What did you achieve?
