Things in Syria are moving at a dizzying pace.

Today is the second part of our conversation with Global News investigative journalist Stewart Bell, who recently returned from a reporting trip with Prof. Amarnath Amarasingam of Queen’s University, and Leah West, a national security law expert at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs.

Host Tamara Khandaker is joined by both Stewart and Leah to discuss the Canadians they met while in Syria  — Canadians who left to join ISIS — and their families, who have since been captured by Kurdish forces and are now stuck in limbo, waiting to be set free or for Canada to bring them home.

If you missed it on Friday, you can listen to the first part of our conversation with Stewart here, or scroll back in your feed.
