The first five books of the old Testament contains the Mosaic Law:
Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy (Pentateuch) -
Christian are not bound by all of the Mosaic Law but no not dismiss it either (2 Tim 3:16)
The Law was given for ‘God’s chosen people’
Many of the Law’s regulations were aimed at making Israel distinct from the surrounding nations.
