Vortex Man is the flagship character of a series of comic books designed to bring awareness of environmental issues to readers of all ages. The Vortex Man Show is a platform for the creators to discuss the issues behind the characters.

In this episode Vortex Man creator Isaac Shweky and chief editor Kevin Pelletier discuss many of the characters from their comic book series that were inspired by real life environmental issues and events and the hashtags used on Vortex Man's social media platforms to highlight these issues. Also featured in this episode is the character of Kujira, who can be found in Issue #1 of Vortex Man presents: The Fukushima Dynamo. Isaac and Kevin discuss the tragic real life inspiration of this character.
