This episode finds me in Houston visiting my good friend and former neighbor Donna Crump, creator/choreographer/artistic director of contemporary dance company Good Dance Since 1984.  Ms. Crump relocated to Houston in 2017, and this little reunion captures my first trip to Houston to see her and the fam.  Before taking this road trip to Houston I asked Donna if she could inject her choreography skills into a piece I am currently working on in honor of my grandmother...  Thankfully she was down for the cause!

Donna and I have a long history of vibing out over great food, but because this episode takes place in her dance studio we just made it a gas station junk food extravaganza. 🍫🍬🍟🥤
Since taping this episode Donna has gone on to not only premier new original work on the Houston dance scene, she also managed to snag the cover of Southwest Contemporary Magazine's Fall 2021 issue along with her co-collaborator and fellow dancer/choreographer/filmmaker Kay Collymore. I had the pleasure of returning to H-Town back in July to film the two for what would ultimately become a visual contribution to their LINEAR/FUNCTION Houston debut show. It's always super fun to wrap w/Donna, I'm glad you all get to be the fly on the wall to witness what real neighborly love feels like because...
It's a feeling.
