Join Andreas Kafizas and Fawad Ahmad Bajwa for Saturday's show as we discuss: The Economics of Climate Change

In today’s show, “The Economics of Climate Change”, we discuss recent findings on the economic impacts that Climate Change is having on agriculture, and the potential future impacts Climate Change will have in other sectors if it remains unabated. A recent report by Citigroup estimates that the global economy could stand to lose up to $72 trillion by 2060 due to the effects of Climate Change. Moreover, the largest investment firm, BlackRock, which manages $7 trillion of assets, signed a pledge to reduce emissions in line with the Paris Agreement. In this show we discuss the importance of recognising the wider economic impacts of Climate Change, and how recent research shows that it makes business sense to divest in fossil fuels and invest in more sustainable business.
