itle: Friendship: healthy vs toxic relationships

Synopsis: Good friendships are universally acknowledged as something which we all aspire to have. Some of us are lucky enough to have made lifelong friends and we can extol their virtues no end. However it is only recently that the health benefits of friendship and socialising have been recognised -perhaps more so because of the enforced isolation brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic.

As Muslims, it is part of our faith to possess a selfless character and to be good friends and neighbours to those around us. What are the benefits of friendship? What are the ingredients required for a good friend? How can we be better friends? Is there a standard we can refer to and improve our relationships with others? And equally, can there be unhealthy friendships and what can you do about them? This and more will be discussed in this episode of Pathway to Peace.
