The Environment and Climate Change
The way humans are treating, and have treated, the environment is a live issue. “We are facing an unprecedented global climate emergency. The government has failed to protect us. To survive, it's going to take everything we've got.” Such are the words of the renowned climate crisis activist organisation Extinction Rebellion. Thus, when climate change is such a contentious issue, it has to be asked: what is the religious stance on this matter? Is there an Islamic viewpoint- and if so, what is it? When thousands of young people are attempting to save the planet, does faith help their cause?
