The Theme of this show is the celebration of Eid, and we shall be hearing from six inspiring poets all touching on various aspects of this celebration which is marked by Muslims all over the world.
The first poem is from a familiar voice of the show, the charismatic Salim Rahim from Mitcham, certainly a poet of high esteem.
This is followed by a poem from sister Bushra Khan who is a doctor and an expert in using her symphony of gifted words to motivate others, who shall be sharing a poem titled ‘Celebrating Rebirth’.
Sister Emma Ahmad from Leicester then shares her wonderful poem on Eid-Ul-Fitr which really does inspire all Muslims to become united as one nation.

Next we have a lovely poem which is beautifully read by the very talented and young sister Sabiha Tariq, and gives us a brief insight into how she starts her day during Eid.

Fahim Nasir then presents his poetical words with his poem titled ‘One’s perception of Eid.
And then finally the very talented and acclaimed poet Joseph McTaggart from Paisley shares his poem titled ‘Feed my Brother’

All in all, I hope you get the flavour of what Eid means and how it’s celebrated by some.
