VOT: January 20, 2023- Sow the right SEED “Reap in Mercy” Hosea 10:12.
One thing that is constant and apparent to all of God’s creation is sowing seeds. The onus is on us to intentionally sow in righteousness in order for us to reap in mercy. If you are not intentional or conscious of sowing good seeds, you may be sowing wrong seeds without your knowledge or understanding. It takes the Holy Spirit to quicken you or caution you to sow the right seeds. Therefore we must stay rooted and grounded in the undiluted Word of God.
When you walk in obedience and manifest the fruit of the Spirit, you are on the right path and will surely flourish.
On the other hand, when you walk in disobedience, you are also likely to be sowing the wrong seed which has negative consequences and could cause such a person to perish. Choose to flourish and not perish.
The benefits that come with sowing the right seed of obedience are numerous, and will last forever as long as we stay faithful and diligent.
Nugget: The bridge that will successfully cross you from the side of disobedience to the side of total obedience is genuine repentance.
Prayer: Father grant me a repentant heart and cause me to sow in righteousness and heed to your voice, so that I may reap in mercy and uncommon favour in Jesus’ name, Amen.
“Sow for yourselves righteousness; Reap in mercy; Break up your fallow ground, For it is time to seek the Lord, Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.” Hosea‬ ‭10:12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.
““Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;” Isaiah‬ ‭1:18-19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103:1-5‬ NKJV.

“‘Consider now from this day forward, from the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, from the day that the foundation of the Lord’s temple was laid—consider it: Is the seed still in the barn? As yet the vine, the fig tree, the pomegranate, and the olive tree have not yielded fruit. But from this day I will bless you.’ ”” Haggai‬ ‭2:18-19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
