First broadcast on FAB RADIO INTERNATIONAL at 19:00 on August 21st 2022

In a rather scratchy throated edition of VISION ON SOUND, happily recorded before the lurgy struck, tonight’s interview is with LISA PARKER from THE ROUND THE ARCHIVES PODCAST, and we had a little chat that was supposed to be about the archive TV watcher’s take on MODERN TELEVISION, although, first of all, we discussed the possible myth of the existence of any true Golden Age of television, before moving on, via a detour into make-up, to talk about some of Lisa’s favourites, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, CALL THE MIDWIFE, INSIDE NUMBER NINE, and THE REPAIR SHOP, as well as considering the entire notion of programmes made by, and for, women.

PLEASE NOTE - For Copyright reasons, musical content sometimes has to be removed for the podcast edition. All the spoken word content remains (mostly) as it was in the broadcast version. Hopefully this won't spoil your enjoyment of the show.
