When Electronic Arts (EA) announced that its 2019 PLAY event would be hosted by, among others, Greg Miller of Kinda Funny Games and Andrea Rene of What's Good Games, few could doubt that the two would be excellent hosts for the show.

But after that, questions remain about how such a job will affect their respective roles as industry commentators.

Should "influencers" accept paid positions to host content showcases they will later be asked to comment on?

How will such a role impact how fans of Kinda Funny and What's Good Games perceive their comments later in the year or on the latest Need For Speed or Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order?

What disclosures does the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) call for when financial and other interests are involved?

And why, in the face of WHO determinations of gaming "disorders", Senatorial Loot Box and "pay-to-win" bills, and everything in-between, is it more important than ever that industry professionals put their best, most legally compliant, foot forward at all times?

Never fear. We always disclose are interests in...Virtual Legality.
