On this episode of the VIP Ignite podcast, your host Deneen White is excited to interview NY based artist Brent Butler. Brent Butler is a multi-talented performer based out of NYC. His teen years fronting punk rock bands in South Jersey gave birth to his eclectic and unorthodox approach to hip-hop, rap, and pop. Dubbed the #ZackMorrisofRap and #DavidBowieofHipHop, Butler continues to wield a guitar and shred solos, while going toe-to-toe with the finest in underground rap today.

Butler is also a skilled actor, improvisor and content creator--a lesser known talent of his until mutual friends brought his hilarity to the attention of writer/actor/comedian Victoria Vitkowsky-Bennett. After working on a few one-off sketches together, Victoria (aka Tori V./Tori No Pants) saw so much potential in their comedic chemistry that she suggested he be considered for the role of Benedick in Mug Life (2016) -- a role that she and her production partner, Kayla Barr, were not planning on casting until after the release of the first three episodes. Barr agreed after being blown away by his stage presence during the final night of The Cold Press' residency at the legendary Lower East Side music venue, Pianos.
