In relation to music industry standards, 6 years between records could be a kiss of death. But for a band like Sleepyhead, it's just what they needed to incubate a collection of songs carefully crafted at legendary Q Division Studios. Life and all of it's roadblocks didn't help the timeframe, but did inform the content. The result? A deeply profound, mature album rolling through the ups and downs of life in perfect sonic harmony. And I have been looking forward to this conversation for quite some time.

The idea of approaching anyone, let alone a trio, to pick a record that speaks to their influences and aspirations, can be incredibly difficult. But Sleepyhead came up with a great and relative choice for all three members that can speak to their influences and left plenty to discuss at the same time. So enjoy as we discuss and extrapolate on the wonderful and universal songbook of one of America's treasures, Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers' Greatest Hits.
