At the moment the news is all about Martin Bashir and his interview with Lady Diana
25 years ago which says it all....everyone jumping in with their theories about the
damage it has done and the way he misled the world with his "false" evidence....personally I couldn't care less...Bashir is no worse than the rest of these
chat presenters like Parkinson....Oprah Winfrey,,,Jonathan Ross...Graham
Norton....and worst of all Piers Morgan who has those pregnant pauses during his
interviews hoping the celeb will break down....IT'S GARBAGE....anyone can sit in a
chair and read questions from a notepad.....let's move on from the problems of the rich and famous ....there are far more important problems in the world

...............When I worked on Radio Merseyside with Monty Lister there was a local travel company who organised DAY trips to various destinations abroad........Monty would arrange a free ticket for both of us in exchange for a half hour travelogue which he broadcast on his Sunday Morning programme....he would describe the tour as we did it and I was his
soundman.........one of our many excursions was to Marrakech........on our journey I decided to buy a souvenir miniature camel....I was told by the
stall holder they were a pound....so I gave him a pound only to be told they only accept paper money....after asking how I was going to get my change he told me I
had to buy five camels.....so I asked how much the larger camels were.....five pounds
was his answer....so I said I'll have a large camel and a snd a small one for five pounds...after he had took his hands off the top of his head explaining that he had a
family to feed he agreed....I loved the guy......we returned to Liverpool after a fascinating day......I
doubt whether any of the traffic has moved yet.

Over his many years on radio Monty has travelled the world and recorded his
adventures for his programme....I did many jingles for him over the years and this is the one he used for his travelogues.....he was a great presenter and a good friend who has sadly passed away and who I will miss very much.
