Cinnamon aka CINN THE QUEEN, born Shakina Denise Kales on July 12, 1979 in Brooklyn, New York has been a music lover since the age of 4. She remembers sitting in front of the television singing every commercial that appealed to her. Yes, she started off singing. Throughout Grade School and High School you were guaranteed to see Cinnamon performing in school plays, talent shows, and family functions. She was born to entertain and her family members knew it. Their support early on motivated her to get better. Although she started off singing, hanging out on the block brought about a whole new hunger, Rhyming!!! Cinnamon watched and listened to rappers battle in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. She noticed that what they would say was hot but most of the time had no content. That gave her the desire to write and she has plenty to say. She has been in this world 29 years but her life experiences far exceed that. As you will hear in her singles "Ill Times" and "Games People Play". Having to live on the streets from park bench to park bench, group home to group home, and when a friend was able to take her in, house to house. Her pin and pad became her best friend and this relationship has been a long lasting love affair. Cinnamon's songs are like mini novels of trials and tribulation, love and hate, good and evil. In 2000, she started recording with her uncle Donald Kales aka Basun @ B & F Productions. She has performed all over New York. The Soul Cafe and Club Nails in Manhattan were her regular spots to rock the crowd. She has since relocated to Orlando, Florida where she is back in the studio working on her debut album "QUEENDOME COME" under VIITRUMP MGMT slated for a 2012 release. She has been strongly influenced by female rappers like MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa, Yo Yo, Lil Kim, Foxy Brown, and her all-time favorite Eve. Cinnamon's style is her own and it is confirmed whether she is performing @ Sun On The Beach, Coconut Willy's, Bahama Breeze, The Blue Room, JJ Whispers, The Roxy, Club Fire Stone or the streets of down town Orlando.
