In this episode, we present a conversation with Oscar and multiple Emmy award-winning director, Alex Gibney, whose critically acclaimed credits include Taxi to the Dark Side and Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief.

Alex Gibney was hailed as “the most important documentarian of our time” by Esquire Magazine and has a signature cinematic style that lends itself to penetrating, gripping, and deeply insightful documentaries.

He recently joined VIFF Year-Round Programmer, Tom Charity for a Creator Talk to discuss two of his latest projects: Citizen K – a meticulously researched portrait of Putin’s Russia; and The Innocence Files, a Netflix series focused on the work to overturn wrongful convictions in the US.
