After a couple of quick stops, the gang set off out of the City of Summers, down the Western Woods in search of a giant snake and a mysterious witch. Who they do meet, however, is not what they expected at all...

Sally gets a change of clothes, Gwathren mounts a mastiff, Khattayab eats an apricot and Archie befriends a goblin called Parrot.
