This week we’re re-airing our award-winning episode, Monaea, a 2020 Diary.

2020 was a YEAR. To try and make sense of it, we handed over the mic to Monaea Upton in North Minneapolis. At the time, she was 17 years old, and she kept audio diary of her senior year of high school -- during online learning, the aftermath of the George Floyd protests, and a spike in neighborhood gun violence. We take you inside her world.
