Here we cover paragraph 11 in which St. Pius discusses how modernists use the intellect. He explains that modernists only use the intellect AFTER they have an emotional experience. The intellect, they say, is there to make sense of their religious sentimentality. Finally, we discuss some of the protestant and Catholic groups that use religious sentimentality in the way Pius describes.
