Soon we will ring down the curtain on Act 1, of our short play called The Great Financial Crisis of 2020. And so far what a play its been.

You may recall that in the first Act, a totally unexpected pandemic, caused Governments around the globe, to quarantine entire populations. Workers were instructed to stay in their homes, while thousands of businesses, deemed “non essential,” whether profitable or not were simply closed. It was the largest quarantine in history, and the first time that the healthy were so isolated.

And although the numbers are still coming in from this part of our story, its safe to say that somewhere between a third and a half of the economy was idled. Something that has never before occurred, this side of a major war.
