Mass Effect Review

Our episode this week is on the 2007 sci-fi video game Mass Effect! This space opera, action RPG was a critical hit for Bioware, and one of our favorite games ever. You can still enjoy this gem, and maybe a remaster is headed our way in the coming year (?). We discuss the ease of driving the Mako, whiny guys named Carth/Kaiden, paragon/renegade moral implications, xenophobic crewmates, and tons of romance discussions (cause we can’t help ourselves).

The First Contact War was a small human and Turian conflict that lasted approximately 3 months, and sounds pretty silly. Basically humans were exploring, did some stuff unknowingly since they hadn’t encountered any other intelligent life at this point, and ended up starting a war with the Turians.
