Reading History with CJ Killmer

CJ Killmer is a history professor and the host of the best history podcast in our space. People refer to journalism as the first draft of history. We all know the history books are generally pretty unreliable. Historians (like journalists) come at their craft with all their biases, angles, agendas, ideologies, and ingrained beliefs. CJ is great at reading through these blinders. He’s also great at reading history without the blinders that come with being an ideological libertarian in the lineage of Rothbard. And that’s a unique quality in this space. I wanted to learn about his techniques for discerning reality from spin both in reading in history and in reading journalism.
