Have you been through grief and struggled to find meaning? If you have, then this episode is for you. I am excited to chat with Dr. Kimberly J. Matthews.

Dr. Matthews is a highly accomplished first-generation Caribbean woman. She embarked on a transformative journey to Rhode Island, where she enrolled in Brown University's prestigious 8-year medical continuum program. This comprehensive program encompassed four years of undergraduate studies and four years of medical school.

Driven by a profound sense of responsibility, Dr. Matthews made a pivotal decision when her mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. She recognized the importance of being close to her family during this challenging time, so she returned to New York. In New York, she seized the opportunity to join The Brooklyn Hospital's Pediatric Residency program.
