Today we continue our series of Underdog Tales, highlighting some of the greatest upsets in sports history.
This episode, we dive into the 2007 clash between USC and Stanford's football teams! At the time it was played, it was the largest point spread upset in college football -- ever.
Stanford and USC have been battling on the gridiron for over 100 years. Through the decades, there's been plenty of drama. The 2007 meeting was just another chapter in a litany of contentious matchups.
And it was the first of many meetings between two soon-to-be-rival head coaches: Pete Carroll of USC, and Jim Harbaugh of Stanford -- a pair of men with huge football acumen, and even bigger personalities.
