Logan Paulsen is a former NFL TE who played 10 years in the league and is currently transitioning into life as a Strength Coach. He is extremely passionate about the field and listening to him discuss the delicate balance between performance staffs and the sport coaches was something I needed to hear.
Logan details his S&C journey while playing football and talks about how he almost "lifted himself out of the league." We also discuss the consolidation of sport and training stressors and his opinion on load management strategies, the relationships between coaches and athletes, and why the NFL CBA was restructured last decade.
I am thrilled to be getting on such a variety of individuals outside the field especially people like Logan who understand the give and take needed to achieve organizational success. It is vital to gain the perspective of those being coached and I can't wait to continue conversing with athletes and sport coaches to help S&C better communicate their vision and tailor it to the betterment of an organization not just to their performance department.
