Uphold Voices in Family is an archive honoring and preserving our stories, from this present moment with the aim for generations to come. It is an intentional passage through past-present stories of childhood and parental experiences.

Welcoming Zazou to Episode 1 full of gratitude.

Zazou describes herself as a multidimensional human being with infinite possibilities. She is a mother, a chef, and a nomad by spirit. Zazou practices conscious and intuitive parenting while valuing the importance of honoring and caring deeply for self. She believes that children learn actions, from what they witness each day. Therefore, her devotion is also to be her most authentic self to the best that she can. Zazou loves to travel, create,  and of course, eat, develop recipes and cook delicious food.

She dives into reflections of including:

What are some of her childhood memories? What have the people in her lineages taught her throughout the past years and how does she ground herself in that connection? How does she strive to incorporate plant-based living and eating with her 4-year-old dear child, herself, and family? What are some of her practices? What does it mean to not be a self-sacrificing parent while not having the shame of doing so? How does she strive to honor her motherhood, her humanity, her womanhood? What was her pregnancy experience like, and what are the mindful practices that aligned best for her well-being?What was her breastfeeding experience? How does she strive to honor her womb and connect with her womb still, today?
