“Go to school, get a degree, get a good job,” is the path that so many of us were placed on and yet, in 2024, 50% of the workforce face barriers to those jobs because they don’t have a degree. That’s not to say that these are “unskilled” workers, in fact, most often this population are skilled through alternative routes, which is why TearThePaperCeiling.org refers to them as “STARs”.
