This episode of Doctor Who takes place on a submarine and is very interested in the concept of mutually assured destruction, which gets brought very much to a head in the final sequence. Before that, though, we're mostly dealing with a rogue monster running around killing people and claiming they attacked him first, even though we KNOW THAT ISN'T TRUE. Did the writers just forget that part?
