Host Gabe Garber sits down with Dr. Iona Italia to discuss her ascension to Directing Editor of Areo Magazine, which she describes as “a feisty little digital magazine with an international readership, providing commentary on politics, society, science, culture, and the arts.” Dr. Italia describes herself as an old fashioned economic leftist and a smushy mushy milquetoast centrist. Gabe and Dr. Italia discuss her writings that critique social justice from a leftist perspective, her time at Areo Magazine, and much more. Dr. Italia is a writer, editor, and translator based in England. She offers translations from German and Spanish to English, as well as copywriting, editing, and proofreading services. Dr. Italia holds a PhD in English from Cambridge University.
