Desmund recently retired from the financial industry and currently sits on the board of directors at Spirit Rock Insight Meditation Center. He also hosted the Unity Campfire S’mores series, facilitating respectful and curious conversations among volunteers. The two discuss Desmund’s path to the Unity movement, some of his takeaways from his involvement so far (like the importance of setting realistic expectations), and pull from shared experiences to consider how a practice such as meditation might help guide our efforts moving forward.
