This is the age old family secret that no one is ever going to tell, but it needs to be told. People and families are suffering all across the country from thoughts of suicide. And Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department do not want to go to another case of someone dying by suicide. That is why they have joined forces with Alice Jordan-Miles (260- 481- 4184) to tackle suicide prevention.

Jordan-Miles has dedicated her life to the bold, aspirational goal of zero suicides among Hoosiers. She is the Director of the Behavioral Health and Family Studies Institute at Purdue University Fort Wayne. She is also the Director of Indiana's Suicide Prevention Coalition. She currently has 22 coalitions working across the state to prevent suicides at the grassroots level.

Jordan-Miles also leads the Indiana's "Lost Team" network. These are groups of individuals that will assist families after they have been touched by suicides.
