God designed us with an appetite to sustain life in our bodies. Appetite and hunger are sometimes used interchangeably, yet they are not the same thing. You can have an appetite without being hungry. We can apply this principle to our spiritual lives. When our appetites are filled with things that have nothing to do with God, then we end up with no hunger for God. When we nibble at what society offers, it changes our appetite. Is what you are indulging in filling you up with no appetite for what God offers?
