The US reached the grim milestone of 250,000 covid deaths as new confirmed cases have gone from 40,000 a day to 150,000 over the last six weeks; as President Trump ramps up his attacks against the election results, President-elect Biden criticized Trump for delaying the transition, saying it’s preventing his team from tackling the pandemic effectively; December 11th deadline looming to avoid a government shutdown amid the pandemic; and a judge barred the Trump administration from expelling unaccompanied minors at the border under health measures intended to stop spread of the virus.
