A man sought in connection in the death of a pro-Trump protester in Portland, Oregon, last week is dead after being shot by officers who were trying to apprehend him; a key model predicts the US will reach 400,000 deaths in January; 1.4 million jobs were added in the last month according to the Labor Department but the country is still a long way from regaining the amount of jobs lost since the start of the pandemic.
