How Strong Was Luke Skywalker After The Empire Strikes Back?

There’s a big gap between the power levels we see Luke Skywalker exhibit in the return of the jedi and the power levels he shows off after training with master yoda on dagobah in the empire strikes back.

Especially in that final battle with darth vader over cloud city, we see luke skywalker as a nearly fully trained jedi knight, but his powers aren’t nearly as mighty as what he’ll possess when he faces off with darth vader again in the return of the jedi.
