In today's show we welcome back James Horton, author of the Blue Swords Crimes and Crests Saga series of books.
James has just published Blue Swords, Broken Oath the sequel to his first novel. The book is set in the fictional town of Stanford in medieval times and contains themes such as murder, corruption and romance.
In this inspirational episode we hear how James's career as a police officer and his love of historic fiction inspired him to take up writing after suffering a stroke at the age of twenty-seven.
James talks about the support that he has received from the Stroke Association and how other stroke survivors have contacted him since publishing his first book.
All profits from the books are going to the Stroke Association charity.
