This week, Jared and Nick provide the origin of Comics League and debate the question of how and why comic book fans became so hostile online. They discuss why fans are so possessive, when it is justified, and when it is not.

Fandom should be a fun community to bring people together  out of a common love of content. But sometimes, it can be a toxic place of division. To be clear, protectiveness and gatekeeping can be positive, but there are times where it goes too far.

What do you think? Why do you think the online discourse about comic books got so toxic? How would you fix the fandome?

Like, comment, and subscribe for more discussions about the nature of fandom and how to make it a more positive place.
