Episode 62: Connected to Mack Ray Edwards

Many crime documentaries on TV portray serial killers as some sort of cold-blooded creature who only prey at night, like some kind of wild animal. I think the reason these programmes describe them this way is to try and put as much distance between them and us as possible, to lure us into a false sense of security that we won't ever come into contact with them and that we would know if we ever did see one in person, but this is far from the truth. To the outside world, these people seem to live very normal lives with normal jobs and normal families. They live on regular streets amongst unsuspecting neighbours, never in their wildest dreams imagining that they are in such close proximity to someone capable of the most horrendous crimes. The man we will be talking about today was one of these individuals. He did the unthinkable – sexually abusing and murdering children, yet he went undetected for over a decade and even over 40 years later, we still don’t know for sure how many victims he had. Today, we will be discussing the cases he is either suspected or thought to have committed as we uncover the cases that are possibly connected to Mack Ray Edwards.
