As you ascend to the rank of master or teacher to the wayward youths who recognize within you the authority to help advance them, do not be so naive to let yourself get trapped in a perpetual state of absorption with your own authority. Yours is but a temporary position of superiority until the time comes that a passing student no longer needs you to get where he is going.
