In this episode, Ileana and Rob are joined by Tadashi Takaoka, Gerente General, Socialab Chile. He challenges us to begin a conversation about this pivotal moment for entrepreneurship in Latin America and the world at large. He brings a unique sense of history, borne of his experiences as one of the original leaders of entrepreneurial innovation in Chile and Latin America through his long career in the private sector and government. In this episode Tadashi dives deeply into the questions around "what is social innovation?" "Can entrepreneurship involve real social impact?" and "is our current model of entrepreneurial economic development working or not?"

Tadashi Takaoka is an Industrial Civil Engineer by education and has a Master's in Operations Management from the University of Chile. His areas of specialization are innovation and entrepreneurship, being one of the few existing executives in Chile that has studied and executed this subject from five different fronts: Consultant, General Manager, Entrepreneur, University Professor and Manager of a business accelerator. His professional strengths lie in business strategy, rapid testing of innovative business models and total autonomy to obtain high-impact results with low resource use. He was in charge of innovation entrepreneurship in Chile as Entrepreneurship Manager of Corfo and today he works as General Manager at Socialab Chile.
