Adrian Zwicker is a German actor who played the SS officer in the film Чужа Молитва which translates as A Prayer of Strangers. It was released in Ukraine in 2017 and with English subtitles in 2018 as 87 Children.
The film tells the story of a Crimean Tatar woman who saved the lives of 88 Jewish children … first from the Nazi Gestapo in 1941 during the Holocaust, and then again in 1944 from the Soviet NKVD during the Crimean deportations.
Adrian shares his experiences in preparing for the role of a villainous character, filming on location, and learning about this little-known story.
