It is Wednesday my dudes, and Kevin Garnett was jumped into the esports boat, and PUBG’s Global Championship will air in Oakland coming in November. Let’s get it!

It’s basketball season! Wait… It’s esports season! Hold on… Noooo! Kevin Garnett is just investing in Triumph Esports.

Esports Observer reports; “15-time NBA All-Star Kevin Garnett is investing in full-service esports company Triumph Esports through his event management and production company, Big Ticket Sports LLC.”

Plans with Triumph are to bring esports to “Hoop It Up”, Big Ticket Sport’s 3 on 3 basketball tour.

Garnett states, “Our relationship with Triumph Esports is a natural fit as we look to showcase and elevate shared lifestyle experiences through competition, content, and live events. Our vision is to create unique experiences that impact our fans across a variety of passion points.”

This will be Garnett’s first time in the esports scene, but he plans to bring together music, esports, and an urban lifestyle together for up coming events.

Sign me up! I’d go to an event like this in a heartbeat. Good on Kevin for seeing potential.

PUBG Corp has announced Oakland as it’s city to host the PUBG Global Championship.

Earlier games leading up to the Championship will be held at the OGN Super Arena in Los Angeles.

Winner’s prize pool starts at $2 million, but will increase with the purchase of in game items.

Definitely taking a number from the Dota 2 crowd funding ideas, but a great idea none the less.

I feel like it really gets people engaged with the top professional play, and I’m really hoping for the best on this tournament.
