In the first Reading today we see seven deacons take up some of the works the Apostles were doing. This can be compared with the problem confronted by the Church today. Just like the Apostles, the church leaders have too much to do and can't provide or the range of services and leadership the emerging community requires. It's a theologically sound as it is practically efficient.
