In episode 174, Mike completes his coverage of 1989 with two more episodes of the second-season of the Salkind-produced “Superboy” television show.
First, Superboy is going to take on an enemy, he has never encountered before. An animated spider. It inhabits bodies so we dont have to pay for a villain this episode and its going to find someone close to Superboy.
Or close to Lana.
Then theres a mystical box, a potion, and an ornate gazebo. Is this enough to combat, “The Power of Evil”?
And then were going to play homage to one of the most popular science fiction films of the 1980s. Thats right, “Superboy” takes a stab at the plot of “The Terminator” as an android comes back through time to destroy Superboy so his descendants cant protect the future.
Fortunately, a lone soldier has come back through time to protect him, or at the very least stand on the sidelines while he does all the work.
Will she succeed, or will “Superboy … Rest in Peace”?
