My special guest for this episode is Rob Janoff, the man who designed the Apple logo back in 1977 for Steve Jobs when working as an Art Director for Regis McKenna advertising in Palo Alto, California.
Rob was kind enough to sit down for this interview to talk design, critique, process and of course, the Apple logo. Which capped off a busy few days for Rob during his visit to Sydney, where we met him in the Champagne Bar on Level 3 of the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour hotel.
A big thank you to Rob and the Janoff team, especially Andy Koch @heyheyitsandyk, for the opportunity. To the Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour @sofiteldarlingharbour for allowing us the space to film in your beautiful hotel. And an equally greatest of thank you’s goes to my fellow University alumni mate, Dave Katague @davekatague for filming and capturing audio for this interview. 🙏
