It’s a hat-trick of Canadian’s to join me on the red chairs! Max Goodwin is with me this week to share his recent story of finding his feet in a design job. It’s a story many of us will have tried and maybe failed or succeeded.
But what Max did (in addition to changing the line of work he did from Engineering to Design) at the same time as sending out hundreds of resumes. Was to take the initiative of starting work on the side to establish his own presence as a designer with his own business.
It’s something I wish more designer could also do, especially as it helps us grow a designers but also due to the fact there aren’t always an abundance of design jobs out there for entry level junior design roles.
