Hosts Tracy Swain and JaVonne Williams are joined by Cinnia Curran Finfer. Cinnia is a California-based Marketing Communications consultant.

In today's episode, Cinnia recommends what type of discussions a person should have with themselves before self-publishing a book.  She also discusses the steps you should follow when self-publishing a book, and how to budget for this type of project.

Having worked both at PR agencies and as an in-house department head of Camp Beverly Hills sportswear and the Pacific Design Center, she struck out on her own in 1990. Focusing on Hospitality, Architecture, Retail and Historic Preservation she had a roster of her own clients as well as project work for companies and agencies. When a move to the Coachella Valley forced a 2 1/2 month hiatus, she worked out the initial draft of a memoir; "Confessions of a Helmet Free Childhood, True-sh Tales of an Analog Upbringing," with the aim of self-publishing. The book was published January 10, 2020. She had a radio interview March 1, 2020.

Then some other stuff happened like Covid-19!  Cinnia shares her experiences in conceptualizing, producing and marketing a book in unprecedented times.
